Takahiro Yamamoto embarks on four-hour durational performances:

Thursday, February 13, 2025, 3–8pm
Wednesday, March 12, 2025, 1–5pm
Saturday, April 12, 2025, 12–4pm

at the Tufts University Art Galleries in conjunction with the exhibition an archive and/or a repertoire.

The performance called Hollow Center includes film by Roland Dahwen, design by Maggie Heath, and sound contributions by Sofia Acosta, Byron Au Yong, Cenk Ergün, Jesse Majía, and Shao Way Wu.

This trailer provides an audio excerpt I composed from nine processed voices that linger, listen, obscure, and repeat. Hollow Center 中空構造 explores themes of erasure and existence continuing ideas from Yamamoto's previous multimodal work NOTHINGBEING. I'm excited to collaborate with him as we consider our Asian diasporic experience alongside Buddhist ideas. Enjoy the musical snippet 🎵
